Paint Stripping and Tiller

posted by Aaron

This morning we took a drive to West Marine for some primers and paints. No outside paint yet, but we've got what we need to paint the inside and mast. Enough to keep us busy for a good while.

I stripped a lot of paint from the inside of the hull today. The closer to the keel the more paint comes up. Probably generally wetter there.

Ralph sanded down the tiller and repaired a long crack with epoxy. The wood looks pretty good underneath and the till will probably be fine with a coat of varnish. The cabin hand-rails also look like they'll clean up well.

I also borrowed a random sander and air compressor from my Uncle. They'll come in handy, but I'm not sure when.

See the pictures here.
